Requirements

• Application letter
• Submit a certificate of birth issued by a recognized National Institution in charge of registering citizens. The one issued by a Hospital where the baby was born can be added to the stated doc if applicable.
• Copies of ID and Passports of both parents;
• Copies of Resident cards of both Parents;
• Proof of payment of 200 SEK to Embassy Account available at the Embassy Website.

NB. The issuance of Birth Certificate can follow the first step of registering the new baby-born in the Birth Act Register. At least one of the parents is required to visit the Embassy to register his/her new baby-born so that the Embassy issues what is called “Acte de Naissance”. This “Acte de Naissance” is always needed once one needs to renew this Birth Certificate.
