The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda (MINAFFET), in partnership with Irembo, introduced from June 5, 2024 a digitalized process of legalization of public documents through Apostilles electronic (e-Apostilles).
Rwandan documents intended for use abroad will be processed digitally and be accessible via the online platform Irembo irembo.gov.rw. Documents apostilled abroad will be directly usable in Rwanda.
To apply for;
1.Legalization of Rwandan public documents for use abroad (e-Apostilles)
2.Legalization of public documents originating from abroad to be used in Rwanda. All official documents issued by the Nordic Countries must be legalized through Apostilles (by respective Ministries of Foreign Affairs or Public Notaries in some countries).
