Police Clearance Certificate

Requirements
For Rwandans who have been living in Rwanda, Police Clearance is requested via Irembo.gov.rw; and once the applicant receives it; the Embassy has to certify it.

The applicant is required to submit it with the following other documents:

  • A copy of his passport and/or ID (both if applicable);
  • A Copy of resident Card;
  • The owner of the document is always responsible for sending a document to and from the Embassy. As a recommendation, people can send a Return and traceable envelop to the Embassy to ease the process. 

Processing Time: (04 working days- Maximum)


For Foreigners who have lived/worked in Rwanda

  • A request letter to the Embassy Consular Services Department asking for the Police Clearance Certificate (The letter should indicate when and where the applicant worked in Rwanda and at least 02 reference persons in Rwanda)
  • A copy of his passport and/or ID (both if applicable);
  • A Copy of resident Card;
  • The owner of the document is always responsible for sending a document to and from the Embassy. As a recommendation, people can send a Return and traceable envelop to the Embassy to ease the process.
