The Embassy of Rwanda to the Nordic Countries participated in TechBBQ 2026, one of the Nordic region’s leading startup and innovation events, bringing together founders, investors, policymakers, technology leaders, and ecosystem builders from across Denmark, the Nordic region, and beyond.

The Embassy was featured in a diplomatic corps session on “Diplomacy as a Catalyst for Collaboration and Innovation,” highlighting the role of economic diplomacy in connecting 

The Embassy joined Simon Mears, Honorary Consul of Tanzania in Denmark, for a discussion on how diplomacy can help connect the right actors, facilitate partnerships and create opportunities for collaboration between businesses, governments and innovation ecosystems.

The engagement also highlighted Rwanda’s growing interest in strengthening Africa–Nordic cooperation in technology, innovation, investment and health.

The discussion provided an opportunity to showcase the upcoming Africa–Nordic Health Summit 2027, taking place in Kigali on 9–10 February 2027.
