Nordic Delegation Joins Africa CEO Forum 2026 in Kigali, Advancing Investment and Strategic Partnerships
Following strategic mobilisation and coordination by the Embassy of Rwanda to the Nordic Countries, a strong Nordic delegation participated in the Africa CEO Forum 2026 in Kigali. The delegation included Nordic Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), namely Impact Fund Denmark, Norfund, and Swedfund, whose participation led to the organisation of a high-level side meeting and reception following the Forum, further strengthening Rwanda–Nordic business and investment cooperation.
The engagements were hosted at Norrsken East Africa, the Swedish innovation and entrepreneurship hub headquartered in Rwanda — a fitting venue that underscored Rwanda’s growing role as a gateway for Nordic investment and partnerships across the continent.

The Embassy also facilitated a dedicated side meeting between the CEO of Rwanda Finance Limited and senior Danish financial and investment stakeholders to advance potential investment partnerships. The meeting brought together senior representatives from A.P. Møller – Maersk and APM Terminals, including Charles van der Steene, Regional Managing Director for IMEA at Maersk; Igor van der Essen, Regional Managing Director for Africa and Europe at APM Terminals; John Godfrey, Chief Group Representative for Africa Public and Regulatory Affairs at Maersk; and Martijn van Dongen, Global Head of Investment at APM Terminals.
